How the TDEE estimate works

Mifflin–St Jeor estimates resting energy expenditure from weight, height, age, and a sex-specific equation constant. This calculator labels that estimate BMR for familiar usage, then multiplies it by your selected activity factor. Actual energy expenditure varies with body composition, movement, training, health, and measurement error.
